future for ITS solutions in Georgia and the Nation? Find out at the January 29,
2009 meeting of your ITS Georgia Chapter. Tom Leslie will update us on

Towing and Recovery Incentive Program (TRIP) Presenter:
Todd Long, Georgia Regional Transportation Authority (GRTA)
We
have all been stopped on the freeway in traffic wondering what
the problem ahead might be. We turn on the radio and hear that
there is an overturned tractor-trailer ahead. Oh…the dread we
feel inside knowing we are going to be sitting there for a long
time…missing ballgames, being late for dinner, being late for
work. Well…..that was true in the past. To combat this
problem, metro Atlanta has developed a new program called TRIP.
This program has lowered the clearance time of large-scale
commercial incidents by literally hours!!! Come hear how it
works!
