I’m happy to announce that Amy Ford, most recently chief of advanced mobility at the Colorado Department of Transportation, has joined ITS America as Director of the Mobility on Demand (MOD) Alliance. Amy and I worked together at CDOT, and I am excited to welcome her to the ITS America team.
Amy starts this week and will be with us as we kick off our first MOD Alliance event in Seattle tomorrow. She is charged with leading the creation, strategic direction and activities of the MOD Alliance. She is no stranger to ITS America – she has done a great job serving as the co-chair of our V2X Task Force since it launched last year.
While at CDOT, Amy helped shape CDOT’s nationally recognized Advanced Mobility/Road X program and consistently advocated for life-saving transportation technologies. In addition, she initiated innovative planning for Mobility on Demand strategies and developed partnerships with companies like Panasonic, HERE, Ford and others – which makes her perfectly suited to lead the MOD Alliance.
I am also pleased to announce that Laura Chace is now Chief Operating Officer – a role she has been fulfilling for quite a while; Christiana Cameron is Chief Financial Officer, and Carlos Alban is Vice President, Technical Programs.
