Intelligent Transportation Society of Georgia Elects First Woman, Youngest Chapter President

New chapter officers and directors announced at annual meeting in Savannah

SAVANNAH, GA (October 10, 2017) – The Intelligent Transportation Society of Georgia today announced the election of Officers and Directors for the 2018 – 2019 term, including the election of the first woman president, and the youngest, in the chapter’s 20-year history.

Jenny Johnson of Kimley-Horn, the newly-elected president, joins Winter Horbal of Temple, Inc., the chapter’s first woman Vice Present; Secretary Marc Start of AECOM; and, Treasurer Xuewen Le, of Atkins Global. The term of officer is two years.

Elected to the Board were: Bill Andrews, City of Sandy Springs, Mark Demidovich, GDOT, Kenn Fink, Kimley-Horn, Matt Glasser, GDOT and Dee Taylor, AECOM.

“It is a great honor to be elected to serve as president of one of the most awarded ITS State Chapters in the nation, and I look forward to working with our outstanding board of directors, officers and members to achieve even greater success,” said Ms. Johnson. “I am committed to expanding our chapter’s membership and reach, presenting the latest in ITS technology and solutions to our community and promoting the use of ITS to improve safety, efficiency and the transportation experience for all Georgians.”
